Fly past the scenic White Mountains and, in about an hour, land
along the mighty Yukon River at historic Fort Yukon. The Yukon River extends for hundreds
of miles and this settlement, located at the confluence of the Porcupine and Yukon Rivers
is 8 miles north of the Arctic Circle.
Enjoy an entertaining one hour tour of this historic area, which
includes the old Fort and cemetery, the Air Force radar site, and the BLM (Bureau of Land
Management) fire fighter camp. Experience the local lifestyle and see the Yukon River.

An aerial view of the Yukon Flats, a vast wetland with more than
40,000 lakes is part of this trip. This area is one of the largest waterfowl breeding
areas in North America; it is home to moose, black and grizzley bear, beaver and fox. Dall
sheep are often seen in the high alpine areas of the White Mountains.
When you arrive back in Fairbanks you will
receive your Arctic Circle Certificate signed by your pilot.
